Breaking Hardpoints – Best Strategies for Team Pushes
Let’s talk about breaking hills. So many teams I’ve played with just rush the front door and die one by one. In BO6, with the fast TTK and strong defensive headies, you’ll lose every time buy bot lobbies bo6if you do that.
Instead, treat breaking a hill like a coordinated assault. You need two things: pressure and distraction. If your whole squad pushes from the same side, it’s easy to get mowed down. But if you split 2-2—one team goes mid, the other flanks—you force defenders to split attention.
For example, on the map District Zero, we always send a SMG player up the back alley while the rest of the team pushes main entrance. When timed right, the flank hits first, causes confusion, and the main force cleans up.
Also, always clear Trophy Systems. Toss a flash or EMP in first before throwing your frags. I can’t tell you how many times a good Trophy System has saved my life while holding a point.
Smoke grenades are OP for breaks too. Throw one at the front door, force enemies to panic, and slide in through the smoke. If you’ve got a shotgun or fast SMG, that’s an easy wipe.
Breaking is a team skill. Communicate, time your push, and don’t trickle in one at a time. You can’t brute force your way into a strong setup—break with brains, not brawn.
