Nursery School Program
Bethany Lutheran Nursery School provides a warm, caring atmosphere for the children under the guidance of a loving, dedicated Christian staff.
GOALS
To help your child grow
-in the awareness of God's love for
each of us
-in the ability to play and work with
others
-in learning how to handle difficult
situations
-in the development of motor and
perceptual skills
-in the development of readiness skills
PROGRAM
Within our program there is flexibility to enable each child to develop skills according to his or her level of activity.
Large and small motor activities, music, cooking, arts and crafts, field trips and readiness skills are just some of the activities we provide for the children.
TYPICAL DAILY SCHEDULE
9:00 - Children Arrive/Free Play (manipulatives, Play Dough, Book Corner, Listening Center, Print Shop, etc.)
9:30 - Morning Meeting/Music
10:15 - Snack (provided by school)
10:45 - Free Play - Craft Time (Water Table, Rice Tale, Easel Painting, Block Building, Dramatic Play, etc.)
11:20 - Storytime
11:30 - Outside Play/ or Indoor Fun.
CLASSES
Classes are scheduled from September through May. A three-week Summer Camp is offered immediately following the regular session for both classes, along with Extended Days for the 4/5 year-old-class.
Three-Year-Old Class: 20 Children
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9:00 to noon.
(We phase in our 3-year-old class the first couple of weeks.)
Four/ Five-Year-Old Class: 20 Children
Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays: 9:00 to noon
(Lunch Bunch is offered on Wednesdays for this class from noon until 1:00pm.
Each class is under the supervision of three teachers, all of whom have four-year College Degrees, and beyond.
ADMISSION
Children of all races, religion and creeds are most welcome.
A Health Form, provided by the school or your physician, must be filled out and signed by your physician.
Bethany Lutheran Nursery School is licensed by the State of Connecticut, Department of Health and Family Services and is a member of the Lutheran Schools Association.
Bethany Lutheran Nursery School is located at 1655 Boulevard, (corner of Boulevard and South Main in West Hartford.)
